   Robert Alan Edwards (born May 16, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky) is an award-winning American public radio broadcaster. He gained fame as the first host of National Public Radio's flagship program, Morning Edition, and can currently be heard on The Bob Edwards Show on XM Satellite Radio and Bob Edwards Weekend from Public Radio International on select public radio stations.
